What are the rain and moisture prevention measures during the transportation of titanium pipes?

Release time:2024-11-25 丨 Views:0306

The following are measures to prevent rain and moisture during the transportation of titanium pipes:

1、 Packaging process

1. Internal protection

Wrap each titanium tube tightly with waterproof and moisture-proof plastic film to ensure that the surface of the titanium tube is completely covered and prevent moisture from directly contacting the titanium tube.

For bundled titanium tubes, a desiccant package such as silicone desiccant can be placed in the middle before bundling. The desiccant can absorb moisture inside the package and maintain a dry environment.

2. External packaging

Wrap thick canvas or specially made waterproof plastic cloth with waterproof function on the outer layer of the titanium tube, which can effectively block the infiltration of rainwater.

Place the wrapped titanium tube in a wooden or iron box with good sealing performance. The gaps inside the box can be sealed with waterproof tape to further improve moisture resistance.

2、 Preparation of transportation vehicles

1. Car inspection

Choose a transport vehicle with intact and leak free compartments, carefully inspect the bottom, surroundings, and top of the compartment for any damage, cracks, or other areas that may cause water ingress before loading, and repair them promptly if necessary.

Lay a layer of waterproof oilcloth inside the carriage, covering the entire bottom and surrounding parts of the carriage, and ensuring that the edges of the oilcloth are flipped up to a certain height to form a tray like structure, preventing rainwater from seeping in from the bottom or side of the carriage.

2. Covering with tarpaulin

Cover the top of the carriage loaded with titanium pipes with high-quality and waterproof tarpaulin. The size of the tarpaulin should be sufficient to cover the entire carriage and hang down a certain length around it to ensure that rainwater can flow smoothly without seeping into the carriage.

When fixing the tarpaulin, it should be ensured to be tight. Use ropes or specialized tarpaulin fixing clips to firmly fix the tarpaulin on the carriage to avoid it being blown away by the wind during transportation.

3、 During transportation

1. Pay attention to the weather

Pay close attention to the weather forecast before and during transportation, plan the transportation route in advance, and try to avoid rainstorm and other severe weather areas.

If it is about to rain during transportation, it is necessary to promptly find a safe place to park, check whether the tarpaulin and other waterproof measures are in place, and reinforce them if necessary.

2. Temporary shelter from rain

In case of sudden rainstorm and other situations, if there is a suitable parking lot, warehouse or other places that can shelter from the rain nearby, the vehicle shall be driven into the shelter as soon as possible, and the transportation shall continue after the rain is reduced.

During the temporary shelter period, it is necessary to check whether there are signs of water ingress in the titanium tube packaging. If water ingress is found, timely measures should be taken to deal with it, such as replacing packaging materials.

Titanium tube is an important industrial material that often requires long-distance transportation. It is very important to prevent rainwater and moisture from corroding titanium pipes during transportation. So, during transportation, it is necessary to regularly check whether the packaging of the titanium tube is intact and whether there are any signs of corrosion caused by moisture. Once a problem is discovered, timely measures should be taken to avoid further damage.
