Precautions for installation, use, and welding of titanium pipes!
Introduce the precautions for installation, use, welding, transportation, and maintenance of titanium pipes.
1、 Titanium alloy pipes and elbows should be regularly inspected to maintain surface cleanliness, remove dirt, and store neatly indoors in a ventilated area. Do not stack or store in the open air.
2、 Ball valves, stop valves, and gate valves used in titanium alloy pipeline elbows are only fully open or fully closed, and are not allowed to be used for flow regulation to prevent erosion of the sealing surface and accelerated wear.
3、 The gate valve and upper thread stop valve are equipped with reverse sealing equipment, and the handwheel is rotated to the surface of the upper head to ensure that it does not rust or fall. Maintain a dry and ventilated environment for storing titanium alloy pipes, titanium elbows, titanium reducers, titanium tees, and other titanium fittings. Keep the surfaces of pipes and fittings clean and neat, and store them accurately.
Precautions for installation and transportation of titanium pipes and fittings:
1. Titanium and titanium alloy pipeline installation. When transporting and storing titanium and titanium alloy pipes, titanium pipe manufacturers should pay attention not to come into contact or collide with iron materials.
2. The cutting of titanium and titanium alloy pipes should be done using mechanical methods, and the cutting speed should be at a low speed; When cutting or grinding titanium pipes with grinding wheels, special grinding wheels should be used; Flame cutting is not allowed. The groove should be machined using mechanical methods.
3. Inert gas shielded welding or vacuum welding shall be used for titanium alloy welded pipe welding, and oxygen acetylene welding or carbon dioxide gas shielded welding shall not be used, nor shall ordinary manual arc welding be used.
4. During the installation of titanium and titanium alloy pipes, it is not allowed to use iron tools and materials to knock or squeeze; Rubber or soft plastic plates should be placed between carbon steel supports and hangers and titanium and titanium alloy pipelines to prevent direct contact with titanium and titanium alloy pipelines; When titanium and titanium alloy pipelines pass through walls and floors, sleeves should be installed with a gap of no less than 10mm, and insulation materials should be filled. The insulation materials should not contain iron impurities.
5. Titanium and titanium alloy pipes should not be directly welded to other metal pipes. When connection is required, a looped flange connection can be used. The non-metallic gaskets used are generally rubber or plastic gaskets, and the chloride ion content should be controlled to not exceed 25ppm.
